Emergency Tarping
What the work involves.
Storms in North Texas do not wait for business hours. A line of thunderstorms can come through at two in the morning, peel back a row of shingles or drop a limb through the decking, and leave rain running into the attic before anyone can see what happened. Our emergency roofing and tarping service runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call (469) 771-0988.
The goal of an emergency visit is to stop the water. That usually means a tarp over the damaged section. A tarp is only as good as its fastening: it has to reach past the damage onto sound roof and be held down along its edges, or the next gust gets under it. Installed properly, it holds through the next storms while the permanent repair is arranged.
How It Works
Free nine-point inspection
Valleys, ridge, shingles, chimney, ventilation, gutters, drip edge and flashing, with drone photos sent to you.
Property protected
Tarps over pools and bushes, and cover for windows, garage doors and AC units before the tear-off.
Down to the decking
Old shingles and underlayment come off, the decking is inspected, and bad boards are replaced.
Rebuilt and cleaned up
Drip edge, ice and water membrane, synthetic underlayment, GAF Timberline HDZ and Z-Ridge, ventilation corrected, and a roller magnet over the yard.
The Difference
What to know before you decide.
Until help arrives, keep people away from sagging ceilings and wet electrical fixtures. Move furniture and valuables out from under the leak, put a bucket under drips, and if a ceiling is bulging with water, a small hole at the lowest point lets it drain into a bucket instead of collapsing. Do not climb onto a wet or damaged roof at night.
Photograph everything you can safely reach: water stains, wet insulation, damaged belongings and the outside of the house. Keep receipts for anything you spend to prevent further damage. Most homeowners policies expect you to take reasonable steps to limit water damage after a storm, and emergency tarping is usually part of the claim.
Once the roof is dried in, we inspect it properly in daylight. The drone photos show what the storm did, and from there the permanent fix is a repair, a replacement, or an insurance claim that pays for one of them. If the storm damaged gutters, siding or windows as well, those go on the same list.

Emergency Tarping, answered.
Do you really answer at night and on weekends?
Yes. Emergency roofing and tarping is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, at (469) 771-0988.
How long does an emergency tarp last?
A tarp installed correctly can hold for weeks through normal weather. It is a temporary fix, so the permanent repair should follow as soon as it can be scheduled.
Does insurance pay for emergency tarping?
In most cases it is covered as part of a storm damage claim, because policies expect homeowners to prevent further damage. Keep the invoice and photos for your claim.
What should I do while I wait?
Move valuables away from the leak, catch drips in a bucket, stay away from wet electrical fixtures and sagging ceilings, and take photos. Do not go on the roof yourself.
